Royal Gorge Route Railroad: Take a day trip to Cañon City, about an hours drive from Colorado Springs to view the Royal Gorge on the scenic railway. Four departments are offered daily and tickets include meal service.

Pikes Peak: The highest summit of the Rocky Mountains southern range. This peak is known as a ‘fourteener’ as it is over 14,000 feet in elevation and is located about 20 minutes from Colorado Springs in the town of Manitou Springs. Drive, hike, or take the cog railway up to the top!

Manitou Cliff Dwellings Museum: This local and privately owned museum is just a 5 minute drive from downtown Maintou Springs. The preserve includes Taos Pueblo Indian cliff dwellings that are between 800 - 1,000 years old and were relocated from McElmo Canyon.
